Dining Etiquette

Dining Etiquette

In order to plan dining etiquette, it is important to follow certain procedures. One should maintain good posture, use proper language and show respect towards your fellow guests. It is important to compliment the host when possible in a sincere manner that does not come across an simulated flattery. While the proper way to show that you are finished with a salad is to place your cutlery horizontally across the plate. The correct way to conduct yourself during the removal of plates and dishes is to sit perfectly still. Don’t dry to help as you may just end up making a mess. If you have organized the meal or being invited, you should always thank your companion for making the time to join you. Pay attention to what others say because you would expect the same when you are speaking. If you are often excusing from the table to attend to other matters, Companions my feel insulted or offended. Follow these simple yet effective rules and one is sure to make the dining experience a fine one.
